The Invisible Addiction
With drinking, there are bottles.
With drugs, there's paraphernalia.
With gambling, there's nothing...   just a kid on their phone.
Isolation Before Finding Community
I couldn't tell anyone. Not my sister, not my best friend. Who admits their kid has a gambling problem?
Confusion About What To Do
Everyone had advice about drugs or alcohol. But Gambling?
People would just shrug. "Tell him to stop."
As if we hadn't tried that.

Welcome to Parents Standing Together

At Parents Standing Together, we get it—because we've been there.

We’re parents who’ve lived through the shock, the confusion, and the heartbreak of discovering our children were struggling with gambling. Unlike other addictions, we couldn’t find the information and support we needed. So we came together and built it ourselves. And now we’re here, so you don’t have to go through this alone. This isn’t a clinical resource or a hotline. It’s a community. Parents helping parents—with real talk, real experience, and real hope.

Is My Child Gambling?

Casinos, poker nights, and bookies still exist—but gambling now includes apps, websites, and in-game purchases that seem normal. If you’re wondering whether your child might be gambling, you’re not overreacting. You’re paying attention.

Quotes from Parents

The Realization - "I didn't even know this existed"

“I talked to my kids about drugs. I talked to them about drinking. It never once occurred to me to talk about gambling. I didn’t know you could lose your savings from an app on your phone.”

The Relief of Connection

“The first time I talked to another mom who’d been through this, I cried for an hour. Not because it was sad—because someone finally understood.”

The Learning Curve

“I had no idea he could lose thousands from his phone while sitting on our couch. I was looking for the wrong signs.”

The Shame Spiral

“He hid it for so long because he was ashamed. And when I found out, I hid it too—because I was ashamed. We were both drowning and couldn’t tell anyone.”
